I want to help because I know how it feels to be disconnected from your true self. I chose unhealthy habits as coping mechanisms to reduce the discomfort of my anxiety. I went through an extremely painful and very challenging divorce, I’ve experienced significant financial loss and redundancy just to name a few.
I was living in the shadows for decades. I remember when I was a teenager not knowing what to do with my life. I had no clear direction at all. As I had no better idea, I decided to follow my mother’s chosen path for me so I started my economics studies and became a qualified Bookkeeper and Statistician.
I was surrounded by things that didn’t excite me but I forced my way through.
On reflection, this total disconnection from my true self led to burnout. I couldn’t cope with the increasing demand of life. I didn’t know how to find a healthy balance and be the best father, husband, friend or manager, the real role model I was dreaming about. It was only when my relationship broke down that I realised I needed help.
I was lost, completely alone with a racing mind full of negative thoughts and in immense pain. I took a deep breath and reached out to the healthcare system. It was a challenge but the options presented to me were some “magic pills” and 8-12 weeks waitlist for CBT.
This sad reality was unacceptable so I decided to take action myself. I booked my free discovery call with a life coach and that gave me the shift I needed.
It was the best decision and investment of my life!
This realisation was the beginning of my wonderful journey to self-discovery and development. It was the best decision and investment of my life!
I learned that I am never alone. I was supported and educated by so many incredible professionals: coaches, mentors, practitioners and teachers.
I’ve created lasting, healthier habits. I am alcohol-free, smoke-free and I’ve conquered a 29-year long driving phobia. I am a much better son, brother, father or friend. I am grateful for life, I smile more than ever before, spread happiness and energy no matter where I go.
